Located in the middle of Akumal’s Half Moon Bay. This condo features unobstructed gorgeous panoramic views of the Caribbean Sea.
Half Moon Bay is a sheltered (by the 2nd largest reef in the world!) stretch of coastline on the Caribbean Sea. This is a protected bay known for its tranquility, white sandy beach, world class snorkeling/kayaking/paddle boarding all on your front door step – it does have a rocky entrance so please bring water shoes.
The water here is generally clear, calm and shallow, which makes it easy to appreciate the coral reef and its amazing array of marine life, especially the north end. And of course swim with the resident marine life in HMB or Akumal Bay!
This property is located in a stand alone condo building (only 6 units) with lots of free Reef designated parking out front or across the beach road. Located on the 2nd floor, of the Reef’s south wing. A serene & beautiful place where couples or families can relax, recharge & enjoy.
Our condo has an open plan layout, full well equipped kitchen, new appliances including, washer/dryer, dishwasher, wine fridge, icemaker, & new water osmosis filtration system (lots of ice for those cold beverages!) Many areas to lounge or relax. Large outdoor private terrace. Sleeps 1-6 guests, 2 baths/2 bedrooms; First bedroom includes 1, four poster king size bed with full ensuite. Wake up to amazing sea views. The second bedroom offers 2 comfortable queen beds. This room overlooks the lush Mayan mangroves, very peaceful : )

Find your own beach spot or use Lol-ha Beach Club or Tsuuk Nature Park for entrance (beside ADS, Akumal Dive shop) nature entry with lockers & showers for your use. Akumal Bay also has a sandier entrance to the sea for little or big feet : )
Gorgeous Yal-ku lagoon, where fresh water meets the sea, lots of marine life, 9 minute walk (swimming, snorkeling, lounging, art sculptures, & Chan Kay restaurant here).
Or ATV-in the Akumal Pueblo, local fare, markets, animal sanctuaries, shopping.

Other things to note
Great News! -Seaweed Barrier Update as of 04/05/26 -Installation April 6, 2026.!! This will help with any quantities arriving (stops 60-70 % from reaching the shore). The Bay Seaweed Mitigation team has a clean team with ATV/holding bins, & our Condo Manager has team also to clear the shoreline out front of the condo. So by your arrival beach MAY or MAY NOT be pristine as the pics in listing. Worldwide issue all Caribbean Countries, & parts of US summer (now spring I guess phenomenon)
Quick note: You are allowed to run the A/C to keep cool – absolutely – we just ask if you are out for a few hours or on a day trip you turn off before you go. Please leave windows and doors closed while the A/C is running. This prevents the A/C lines from freezing and the A/C from not working.
The hot water, (tap on left ie for the shower) takes several minutes to come thru. Let it run for a bit….just needs a bit more time – the hot water tank/boiler is on the roof for all the condo units. So it takes a little time to make the journey down 🙂 – also there is a clear plastic cover over the shower drains , just move to the side.
The entrance to the sea is a little rocky in places because of the reef, and we/residents of this bay – have left the bay inlet natural, but there are sandy patches – and Akumal Bay is within walking distance if you require a mainly sandy bottom. So we suggest you bring water shoes for this bay & Yal ku lagoon. But the Caribbean sea & this bay is shallow & warm. Lots of sandy areas on the beach between the gardens and shoreline.
January 2023 – this is supposedly a total ban in all public places. As of 2025 we are noticing it is not being upheld. But you cannot smoke in any Restaurants now. If you are a smoker, smoking is allowed outdoors on our beach at the Reef as this is our private property. No smoking on Unit/Villas patios or terraces. But please, please, please be respectful of other guests or condo residents and dispose of your cigarette butts safely & daily.
